Traffic Ticket Defense

Millions of people throughout the country will receive a traffic ticket this year, primarily for Speeding. Most of these tickets are never contested.

People often follow the line of least resistance and just pay the fine for their case, assuming it’s not worth the effort to contest a traffic ticket. But just paying up, without thinking of the consequences of your traffic ticket, may cost you more than just the fine you pay.

Traffic convictions with Guilty pleas can result in increases in your insurance premiums. Points charged against your driver’s record may lead to your license being suspended. And many states require some form of license suspension for repeat offenders as well.

Convictions or guilty pleas to Virginia traffic tickets are regularly reported back to your home state. Employers do not often look favorably at employees or job candidates with poor driving records, particularly if your license at one time has been suspended. For a holder of a commercial driver’s license, some traffic tickets could cost you your job.

Traffic Violations include:

DUI/DWI
Speeding
Reckless Driving
Driving on a Suspended License
Habitual Offender
Commercial Motor Vehicle Violations
Truck Overweight Citations
